Survival & self-care strategies for workplace racial harm
The current political chaos & constitutional crisis is creating high levels of overwhelm, anxiety and fear in our communities and in public and non-profit workplaces. Racialized harm is on the rise in workplaces where bigots are feeling more empowered to be publicly hateful, and many of our nervous systems have been operating at or beyond the point of burnout for years.
In the February edition of The Pop Out with Carlos and Community, Jamila Thompson joins us to discuss survival and self-care strategies for Black, Brown & Indigenous folks at work.
Join us to share your perspectives and experiences:
What is your role right now?
How do you protect & manage your energy?
How do you build community & coalitions for action & mutual aid within your workplace?
How can you take strategic action to push your organization to leverage its resources to support the most vulnerable employees, clients & community members?
How do you collect your receipts & stay safe while working on your exit plan?
This conversation will center the voices and perspectives of our Black, Brown & Indigenous community members, and is open to all who want to take action to mitigate and repair the impacts of racialized harm in and beyond the workplace.
This month’s special guest:
