Schedule of Sessions

Session 1: Carlos Kareem Windham
Tuesday October 20, 12-2PM Pacific

The Hammer with which we shape our reality

In the Age of COVID, many of us have been reminded of the essential role of art and creativity in our daily lives. When shackled by the tenets of base-consumerism, critics argue that art must be frozen in an amber of political neutrality, or must be segregated from the life of its creator. When elevated to its highest expression, art is a testimony to the greatness of humanity and a reflection of boundless creation. Together, we will explore the role of artist as cultural worker, and creativity as an act of resistance to white supremacist, patriarchal capitalism. Community members will make an action-plan to bring our vision and voice into the world and leave the world a more beautiful place than we found it.

Session 2: John H. Ashford Jr.
Thursday October 22, 12-2PM Pacific

WHAT IS THE GIFT OF BEING YOU IN THIS REALITY?

Are you willing to make waves? Join spiritualist, energy healer and restorative justice facilitator, John H. Ashford Jr., to explore the importance of tapping into your essence and wholeness to free yourself from the expectations and projections of those around you. Learn how to create ease and be in allowance while living through difficult times. Discover how to redirect your energy away from automatic reactions and judgements, and towards creating entirely new and different possibilities for you and the world.

Session 3: Stephen J. Fowler
Sunday, October 25, 12 - 2PM Pacific

Simple Relationships in a Complex World: The Intellectual and Physical Dance

Do you truly value every relationship in your life? What does your soul need to thrive? Join artist, activist, and restorative justice facilitator, Stephen J. Fowler, in examining how to feed your soul and bring more value to the relationships you cherish. We will also examine our relationship to the earth in a world in which we are physically embodied and intellectually divided. Together, we’ll create a blueprint for nurturing relationships that tend to your needs in this transformative era.

Session 4: Dr. Ahjané D. Billingsley
Tuesday October 27, 12-2PM Pacific

LIBERATING SOCIETY THROUGH LIBERATING MINDS

How can we shift the energetic habits of the mind that keep us stuck replicating old patterns to better manage our current reality and manifest the future we desire? Join scholar activist and light worker, Dr. Ahjané Billingsley in exploring the three foundational pillars of consciousness: the critical, the self and the collective. Learn strategies for integrating your multiple consciousnesses and develop practical strategies for maintaining, sustaining, and regenerating both your liberated mind and your vision for a liberated society.

Session 5: Melody Martinez
October 29, 12-2PM Pacific

SEEDING COLLECTIVE GIFTS: REIMAGINING COMMUNITY ECONOMIES

Organizer, facilitator and consultant, Melody Martinez invites you to root deeply into the power of your visionary imagination to explore what “community” and “economy” could mean. What does a sustainable community look like? What does it value? What roles do people hold? How can a community hold itself and its members accountable in healing ways? How do we start calling in our vision of whole and sustainable community in the midst of great inequality and extraordinarily difficult circumstances? Can we afford not to?

Session 6: Theresa Logan
Sunday, November 1, 12 - 2PM Pacific

CATALYZING INSPIRATION INTO ACTION

Transformative facilitator and creative convener, Theresa Logan, will invite you to reflect on the key themes and celebrate the closing of The Healing Revolution: Collective Evolution Series. Integrate your moments of inspiration into a cohesive vision and identify what you need to move into meaningful, concrete action. Where do you already have the power to create change? What holds you back? What fuels and sustains you? What unique gifts and talents are you here to bring to the world? How can you collaborate more effectively with others who share your vision and passion?

FEES: Accessibility & Fair Exchange

The Healing Revolution: Collective Evolution Series is a collaborative project. We are independent colleagues working to sustain our families and create change in the world outside of the traditional structures of the private, public, and non-profit sectors.

Based in our dual values of community access and fair exchange for labor, we are offering this series on a sliding scale of $60 - $600.

Your fee includes entry to all 6 sessions in the series and breaks down to $10 (a movie ticket?) - $100 (a fancy dinner?) per session.

You have the option to participate live in each session and/or watch the session recordings at your convenience.

Your fee goes directly to the series facilitators. We ask that you please consider the following questions before deciding how much to pay:

1) What will be the value added to your life by spending these 2 weeks deeply engaged in learning and exercises to support your personal growth, build community, and start taking action for collective transformation?

2) What is fair exchange for the combined 100+ years of professional expertise grounded in invaluable lived experience being offered by the workshop facilitators?

3) What can you actually afford to pay?

4) Have you ever before had the opportunity to learn from 5 Black teachers of diverse identities and experiences in the same time and place?

  • If you answered no, and you are a person who navigates the world with white privilege, please seriously consider doubling your fee amount as an act of racial solidarity with the series' 5 Black facilitators.
