Parenting for Radical Liberation

TO LIBERATE OUR CHILDREN WE MUST LIBERATE OURSELVES.

This requires parents and caregivers to acknowledge and heal from the oppressive patterns of socialization, interpersonal harm, and structural harm we experienced as children, and actively experiment with new strategies for teaching our children to escape the false binaries and violent legacy of settler-colonialism and white supremacist, patriarchal, capitalism.

Join us for 6 live (and recorded) sessions over the summer to build community, develop strategies for breaking intergenerational cycles of harm, and create a foundation for healing and liberation for our children and descendants to:

  • unapologetically express their full self, voice, and gifts

  • cultivate consensual relationships

  • build collective power

  • disrupt and dismantle systems of oppression

All parents, caregivers and family structures are welcome in this pro-Black, human rights-based, LGBTQIA+ loving space.

Teachers, mentors, relatives and others who want to better support the youth (from infants to teens) in their lives are also welcome to attend, though we will be centering the parent/child relationship.
